"I was given a slot for my foot op at short notice...."

I was given a slot for my foot op at short notice. I was quite poorly afterwards but was monitored closely in recovery for several hours. I had to stay in which was unexpected and was supplied with any items I needed. The night staff were excellent and provided pain relief when the nerve block started to wear off. All the staff were lovely, the food was good and I was sent home with plenty of medication to get me through the recovery period. It's too early to say how successful the op was but the care I received was brilliant.
