"not even an apology"

About: Broomfield Hospital

Having parents of 90 and 87 years of age I have visited the hospital several times over the last couple of years. Every visit takes a minimum of 2 hrs but yesterday was unbelievable. My father had an appointment for a CT scan which resulted in him being seen late. Our total stay at the hospital was just over 4 hrs. I understand and rightly so that emergencies from A & E will take priority but I think this was just unreasonable. No apology was offered if we had known of the delay we could have got a coffee but we just sat there frightened to even use the toilet in case we missed being called. This is a step to far in my eyes. I have to go back on Friday to take my father & his appointment letter actually states we may be at the hospital for up to 3 hrs for the appointment. Dread to think what time we will actually leave there.

We are really sorry for the delay and the lack of communication in the waiting times, we will get the lack of communication fixed.
