Reading the experinces of 'John' and communication with this centre. When attending clinics at QMC rather than this privatised centre we were treated with more coutesy by all staff. Staff are seconded from QMC but it is managed by the private service. What has resulted is that any enquiries you make are directed to a call centre now and not to your consultant's secretary, who knows you if you have been 'around a while' or are familiar to clinic staff. My experience of the call centre leads me to believe that it is staffed by folk who know nothing about patients and their worries and just work to a text. So I received no help from that score.

It seems to me that if you do complain as John did, they have a target of 2 days to acknowledge and 4 weeks to give a full explanation of your concerns/complaint etc. They didn't return my letters and I got no correspondance like John. I feel that I was ignored by the 'management'. It must be emphasised that the clinical staff are trying their best in sometimes difficult circumstances (caused by this private managment in my opinion) and are on the whole as great as they always were.

I have too complained about the management problems and patient communication but weeks later I have had no response, I feel ignored.
