"Levels of service provided by NHS in Cornwall"

In November 2014 my wife Maggie was referred, by her GP, to hospital for tests and she ultimately saw a consultant. Consultations etc. were made at hospitals in Penzance and Helston as well as RCH Treliske. A successful operation was carried out on 29 December by the consultant at Treliske and Maggie is now well on the road to recovery, having been discharged on 31st. The levels of service we have both received have been of the highest order. I say "both" because the consultant rang me at home at 7.15pm on 29th, to let me know the operation had gone well. Without exception everyone we have dealt with, at whichever location, has been caring, professional and happy to discuss our concerns. Aftercare has been first class with follow-up telephone calls from Treliske being made as and when arranged. Well done to all concerned - you will be well aware how stressful a time it is for patients and families - you handled it brilliantly. Peter
