"Plastic surgeon with a hand of an angel"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I had to have a small plastic surgery on my back to have a nice scar on my back due to a cancerous mole being removed previously. I went to ward 39 where the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was in and out in a few hours as it was an outpatient surgery. When I was in theatre the nurses and doctors were very friendly and I was very comfortable to be there even though I did not want to be there. I felt very relaxed while the doctor was performing the surgery, he was talking to me during the procedure and advising what was happening. He made sure that the tattoo I have on my back won't be really affected with the scar. Even though I haven't seen my scar yet as I still have the dressing on, the nurse at my GP advised me when changing the dressing that she has never seen a more perfect scar yet. This made me very happy. All in one, I had a great experience while on ward 39 (especially that it was on the 31st December).

Thank you for your positive comments following your treatment under the care of Plastic Surgery Department at the RVI. It is always good to hear when patients fell they have had great care and a positive experience. Please be assured that your comments have been passed onto the plastic surgeon who was responsible for your care and the staff on Ward 39 who will all be greatly encouraged by your kind remarks.
