"accident and emergency"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

My husband was admitted on Tuesday 30th by ambulance into accident and emergency. he had a temperature and was breathless, my husband unfortunately has two Tumours in his Lung plus liver and kidney cancer. two weeks previous he had a chest infection which was treated with antibiotics, we all thought it had cleared up. So after a week he started the drug Tarceva but he developed flu like symptoms, which proved to be an infection, the medical team thought at first he had pneumonia. within five minutes of entering A&E he had blood taken and BP done and an X-Ray. The staff were unbelievable, working under extreme pressure, as the department was full. I must praise all the staff there and the Accute Emergency and the staff at Ward 7A. This is the 3rd time my husband has been seen in the RLH over a year and on all occasions the staff have been marvellous.
