I had punctured my foot with a rusty old nail and sought advice through online medical services. I then attempted to see my local GP to be informed no appointments were available and the nurse was also tied up. I then attended the A&E department and after registration (which took less than two minutes) took my seat in the waiting area. I was called less than 10 minutes later to see a nurse, who quickly and professionally attended to my injury, tetanus booster, prescribed antibiotics and also had time to give me advice in keeping the wound clean.... In and out in 30 minutes..... Extremely please with service. I can see how busy the hospital gets and was a bit worried that ambulance drivers also took their place in the booking in queue.... Surely they should have electronic booking in systems?
