"Raised IOP'S"

I have raised IOP'S (excessive pressure in the eyes which can lead to wide angle Glaucoma).

I was prescribed a drug called Xalatan in 2006 at the Ophthalmology Dept at Yeovil District Hospital.

The overall service was appalling. I had to wait a very long time to see somebody, then I was treated like a child, as if I had no knowledge of medical matters. When I eventually got to see the Consultant I had several questions I wanted answered and he did not want to know and just dimissed me like a child again.

I have contacted several people in the Yeovil area and the opinion is the same - don't go to YDH for Ophthalmology. I am now waiting to hear from Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton but must wait months for an appointment. I still want questions answered but must now wait - so much for patient care, its not good enough.
