I'm a keen cyclist both on and off road, towards the end of last year I had a bad 'off', resulting in bashed up shoulder.
First I saw a paramedic, then my GP, I also went to a private sports injury clinic, I had done a pretty good job of rearranging my shoulder the answer - time.
I couldn't afford to keep going private so I got a referral for physiotherapy at my local community health centre, after ten days I had an appointment.
Previous experience has warned me to keep my expectations low, I decided my only aim was to get a prognosis.
WOW! First off the Ashfield Health Village is amazing, I arrived in good time and was being seen within minutes by Malik.
I'm into my sports big time and like to keep fit so when I'm out of action it's a big deal! Malik understood this, his communication skills were excellent, he talked to me, not at me. Everything he said made sense and yes, I got my prognosis.
No miracle cure alas but an exercise regime which although uncomfortable at first has helped me to regain an almost full range of movement, still got a way to go before I'm hurtling down those hills again, at least I know I will be!
Big Thanks to Malik
