I had to go into Fawkham manor for a day surgery procedure on my ankle. It was the first time I personally had ever been admitted to hospital in my life although I have had much experince of hospitals both NHS and private through friends and family. Although the procedure was relatively minor it did require a general anaesthetic so I was a little nervous and aprehensive. From the moment I arrived the staff could not do enough to ensure that everything was explained and gone through so that I felt as comfortable as I could. The cleanliness of the hospital was also first class. I was then admitted down to the operating theatre for my procedure when again I came across the same level of profressionalism and care as experienced on the ward. The various theatre staff where very relaxed and chatty during my preparation which kepy my mind off the impending procedure and kept me relaxed. The procedure was carried out well and I was soon back on the ward where until I was discharged by my consultant I was looked after fantastically well. I would highly recommend this hospital if it is required as the level of care, professionalism and cleanliness is fantastic. It reminded me more of a 5 star hotel than a hospital
