Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope on Ward 3 INRU, Trafford Hospital.

It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible.

In response to your comment, we can explain that staffing levels are reviewed and reported on a daily basis. All shortfalls are supported with requests from agencies, who are unfortunately not always able to offer cover to support the demand. Staff have been moved on to INRU from other Wards/Departments to assist in such circumstances. There is a recognised demand for more nurses than are currently available and we would like to reassure you that we are actively recruiting more nursing staff.

We have shared your concerns regarding waiting for support staff for up to 30 minutes with the staff on INRU so that they are aware and can assess how this can be improved.

It is difficult to respond to all the posts in a full way often because of a lack of detailed information, therefore if you would like to discuss this with us in more detail, please feel free to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk
