We took our 6 month old baby to the A & E department on Boxing Day morning. She had already been in a Norfolk hospital at the beginning of December with breathing difficulties and these had returned. We sat in a cold waiting room for 2 hours in the early morning before being seen by a doctor (after complaining twice about the length of our wait). The doctor we saw didn't seem to grasp our reasons for bringing our daughter to the hospital. The consultation room was dirty and had not been cleaned between patients. Our concerns were dismissed and we were sent away. Subsequently, our baby was admitted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital the following day with bronchiolitis, 3 other viruses and a chest infection. We remain in hospital - day 8 today! NHS hospitals vary greatly and I have nothing but praise for the NNUH. Sadly the same praise cannot be given to Stoke Mandeville. I would never go there again and would definitely not recommend.
"Complete waste of time!"
