I have had glaucoma for approximately 30 years. It runs in my family and my mother went blind due to glaucoma. In 2011 I had laser treatment at Frimley to reduce the pressure in both my eyes as eye drops were no longer keeping the glaucoma under control. At the same time I had the lenses in my eyes replaced as I had cataracts. The operations were excellent and very successful but I was warned that I might need further surgery within a year or two. In October 2014 I had a further operation on my left eye - a trabeculectomy - to reduce the pressure. The surgeon and all his team are excellent and the follow up care - several visits for check ups - an ongoing - has been incredibly thorough and very good. All in all the surgery has had an excellent outcome and I have nothing but praise for the eye dept at Frimley.
"Excellent micro surgery on my left eye"
