"A&E admission"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Just wanted to say thank you to the staff who looked after my 15 year old daughter last night when we came into A&E via an ambulance just before midnight with some sort of undiagnosed fit. From the kind nurse who kept us informed of what was happening and how long before we'd be seen by the doctor, who took everything we said so seriously and gave her such a thorough assessment, to the paediatrician who again took the time to examine her at length. We came home feeling that we had been in safe and caring hands and hopefully a little closer to finding out what is wrong. Everyone looked so tired but worked professionally and cheerfully, as well as treating their patients with dignity.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Also, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Accident and emergency at 28/12/2014 19:24:41”, please so we can pass on your good wishes? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
