"My elderly father was admitted on boxing day with..."

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

My elderly father was admitted on boxing day with breathing difficulties, in a&e for all he had a long wait the young doctor was lovely diagnosed dad with a chest infection prescribed anti biotics he was then moved onto amu where they lost his medication and informed him he had a blood clot he was then moved to ward 12 and told there was no evidence of either a chest infection or blood clot so no anti biotics but injections as a precautionary to avoid clotting, a couple of staff have been very rude to my dad, he's 83 but still has a right to ask questions. I've always defended Durham hospital as its our local but no more. Not all the staff are the same and yes they're busy people but aren't we all and that doesn't give anyone the right to be rude to people. Training. wouldn't go a miss amongst staff. And a bit more communication regarding patients diagnosis etc on ward transfer would be very helpful.
