I was suffering chest pains to the right hand side of my chest. My wife made a call to the Coleridge Medical Center in Ottery St. Mary Devon to seek advice on my problems. An arrangement for Doctor DeSouza, the duty Doctor that day to call our house and discuss the problems. This resulted in me being asked to attend the surgery straight away.
After some very immediate tests and ECG a decision to take me to RD&E by ambulance. The paramedics Zena and Stuart were very kind and attentive administrating pain killing drugs on route to hospital.
At the hospital Consultant H. A. Locket checked me and more tests and ex-ray's were taken, a long day but excellent service. I was asked to return the next day for a CT Scan and more tests. This time I was dealt with by Consultant W. J. Lusty he gave me the results of the scan and explained in full what were the problems and the procedure to be followed.
I am now being monitored by the GP's at our surgery with the cooperation of the Practice Nurses who are giving a first class service.
