After a road traffic accident, on arriving at this hospital not assessed properly, the neck blocks where removed as none were left on ambulance, my neck was strapped with tape that fell off after a short time, after one hour had to get partner to get a nurse for pain relief, 5 times a nurse was called and walked passed, one did reply and say she would be one moment but never returned, my partner asked the sister on the desk for assistance she said she would see the doctor and attend but didn't. a notice on the wall said ensure your patient has a call bell, but alas no call bell at all in the room. another 4 hours passed and my partner had to get a nurse as no one had checked on my condition in that 4 hours and considering I had a trauma to the head and a collar that had half fallen off as the tape had become unstuck it is luck that there was no serious damage done. It took a total of 5 hours for the one doctor to look at me and order scans and x-rays, considering it being a road traffic accident and having head trauma and being left after having a blood sugar test and a blood pressure test in a collar that was not secure, it makes one wonder who prioritises injuries when a patient is admitted. Not even given a discharge letter. my partner also noted that another patient as you could see in each cubicle had a drip attached, but not on a stand it was taped up on the lamp above the bed. Please don't say telephone PALS it has already been done without any proper outcome, only it will be discussed at the next department meeting,
