"Physio at Halton Clinic"

About: Halton Clinic / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

Due to the severe pain I have as a result of my arthritis, I attended Halton Clinic in Leeds to see the physiotherapist. The physio was very nice and explained exercises easy to understand. It was painful but hopefully it will be less painful as my treatment continues. I have been in pain (unbearable) at times and have had to wait 12 weeks for an appointment. I’ve been told that the accepted waiting time is 18 weeks which I think is totally unacceptable in some cases.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Halton Clinic.

I was sorry to hear that you had to wait to see a physiotherapist but it was good to hear that the service you received was good.

Unfortunately, a few months ago there was a waiting list of 10 to 12 weeks to see a physiotherapist at Halton Clinic. This was due to a change in our appointment system. We recognise that this length of time was unacceptable and as a result we have changed our appointment procedure so that patients have to wait between 4 and 6 weeks.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your story.
