"Mri for a 1 year old"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

In November 2014 we visited the children's ward with our 1 year old for her to have a Mri scan all the staff were brilliant with me and my little girl when she was sedated they helped settle her and even borrowed me a pram to put her in, they didn't mind that the children were back and forward in the play room and even some nurses played with my little girl, when she woke from her Mri there was a hot meal waiting for her :) also if anyone can give me details on how to donate toys that would be great

Thank you, for taking the time to post your positive feedback about your daughter’s stay on our children’s ward. It is really lovely to hear that your daughter was so well looked after and that we were able to make her stay as pleasant as possible. We know that having a child in hospital can be incredibly stressful and daunting, so we are glad our staff were able to support you and your daughter during her MRI scan. We have passed your lovely comments on to those staff members who were involved looking after your daughter. Thank you for expressing interest in donating toys to children’s ward. We know just how much the children enjoy and appreciate donations of any kind, toys especially. To donate you can contact our play specialist, Linda Taylor, via the hospital switchboard on 01384 456111. Linda will be more than happy to help you with any further queries.
