My beloved elderly relative will never recover from the infection she acquired in Good Hope and is now destined to spend the rest of her life in an nursing home.
I am heartbroken but Good Hope have you really any idea of what you have done?
My relative went into Good Hope and left 72 days later. In those 72 days it was recorded ONCE that she is visually impaired! ! How on earth can a nursing team have ignored such a vital piece of information?
According to the CQC guidelines all patients that need extra help should be given their food and drink on red trays/water jugs with red lids. In 72 days this policy was not adhered to once.
Staff members that cannot seem to complete even the most basic admin eg incorrect discharge information. This is still incorrect and now I gather the family have to wait until 2015 for it to be corrected! !
You have had from August to correct this how on earth can it take over months for this to be rectified?
The admin team send letters to family members claiming that meetings have been held when the reality was that some family members were over 170 miles away at that time.
Medical notes that claim that the family have been given care plans when that was untrue. An email about “your late mother” to the patient’s daughter despite her being alive!
Whilst I respect the fact that the managing director has done his best it is not good enough to repeatedly apologies and still get it wrong. Why on earth are the family expected to wait until 2015 for the notes to be amended. ?
