I was recently an in-patient on Iris Ward in Peasley Cross for a couple of weeks.
The care and treatment I received there was excellent and I wanted to thank the staff on the ward for helping me through such a difficult time.
the staff were encouraging, supportive in times of crisis whilst on the ward, and made me laugh too - something that is important when everything is gloomy and you feel so miserable.
not only did they support me, they praised me when i was doing well, and helped me when i wasnt doing so well. i was never criticised or ridiculed for feeling the way i did.
the input i had into my care was also brilliant. i went into the ward review with the consultant and knew what i wanted from the start. having support from the nursing staff i was able to voice my needs and my care plan as an in-patient was completely led by myself, which i believe aided my recovery.
I did write a positive letter to the staff so they are aware of how grateful i am of their care and support, however i also wanted to share it with others.
Many thanks to all the staff on Iris ward - assistants, staff nurses doctors/consultants for your help!
:-)
