Well what can i say,it's so easy in the heat of the moment ,to rant regarding a bad experience, which i must say I did a few months ago...but on the 12/12/14 I attended to the day surgery ward at RBH,was fully informed, prepared and ready.for my operation.I was then brought to recovery post-op and cared for,and i do reiterate 'cared' for by two young male ODPs (break reliefs for each other) who obviously really enjoy what they do because it showed! My op took a little longer than normal,& when asked to speak with the surgeon as to reasons this was fully accommodated putting me at ease. I then transferred to ward C18 for an overnight stay as I had a drain in, and even though the qualified staff nurse had 18 pts to care for including me, my obs were done, I was painfree and the lovely HCAs brought me countless drinks and TLC... how did they manage is what I ask?? There were acutely ill people there too.
