I had the coil fitted by newham. For various reasons I wanted it removed. I was in agony and couldn't keep food down. As a type one diabetic, with epilepsy. It's vital I eat and drink. I called the gynea department. They told me to go a&e. I went after arranging child care as I knew it would be along wait and being a Friday, not a suitable place for my one year old. I was seen by 4 people of whom where receptionists, gp and nurses. I arrived at 6, left at 10!!!! And was told only by the last person, sorry we cannot remove coils here, if your having issues go to the sexual health clinic that you had it fitted. I reluctantly had it fitted in Newham, but they just pass the blame and work on to other people. When I was booking in. I told them. I want my coil removed. I then told every consultant after that. At no point was it made clear to me that it was literally wasting my time!!! The place is a joke, have no respect for people, do not understand long term, life threatening illnesses which scares me, and are happy to just give you anything without researching as if you were a lab rat. I hate this hospital. Considering I have two long term illnesses I have been at newham too many times. And I assure you, it stops here. Shocking hospital. Please don't go there. Oh and I had a person high on drugs harassing me throughout my horrific four hour wait and a security guard there throughout it all, just watching on !
