"Very friendly and very helpful"

(as the patient),

Had seen my GP on the Thursday, and was given antibiotics for a kidney infection. On the Saturday the pain suddenly got so bad that I couldn't walk.

GP surgery was shut, and I didn't want to waste A & E time if it wasn't necessary. So I rang 111 for advise.

They noted all my symptoms etc and said a medical professional would call me back. I think they called back within half an hour, asked loads more questions.

They were very friendly and very helpful, but unfortunately there was a problem on the day so there was a long backlog to get someone out to see me, so they advised that I go to A & E straight away.

I am still receiving treatment.
