My mother was sent home after 4 hours in A &E. They decided she was well enough to go home. She did not meet the mobility requirements to be discharged but they still sent her home anyway. After being home for about six hours she had a fall. She has now ended up back at Pembury, and in M.A.U. the staff do not know what is going on. She is now being sent back to Crowborough hospital where she will be better off, however due to the fact that Pembury let her bed go yesterday we will now have to wait for another. On Sunday evening there is a definite lack of staff, no one to speak to and not enough staff to see to patients needs. My mother was in a room all on her own with the door shut and the buzzer had fallen down so she could not call for anyone. It wasn't like having a room to yourself it was more like being in prison. It seemed that she was just being minded until the Monday staff turned up. This is a hospital and I assumed that people were nursed not minded.
"No communication, lack of everything."
