A and E and Accute assessment unit were great all downhill after that and my own experience was not as poor as I had observed in others care on the 6 bed bay in short stay unit. On Saturday not even seen by a doctor told all day that the 1 doctor on duty would see all 28 patients but by 5 pm he had left the hospital. Trying to get a hot drink was a mammoth task and housekeeping was rude and in desperate need of communication skills training and a lesson empathy. No hot drink offered after 6pm and had to wait until 8.30am for breakfast and hot drink to be offered. Expected to ask nurses who are overworked and under pressure. Medicine times where fitted in to suit nursing staff often up to an hour late. Booked in for scan and sent down twice to x ray 1st occasion was asked when gall bladder removed and when breast cancer was diagnosed neither of which where conditions I have ever had. Wrong notes so returned to ward. Called down again 1 hour later left to sit for an hour and then told no appointment for me. Hope I don't have to be admitted to this hospital again. Feedback verbally offered to sister on ward was not given feedback form on discharge I wonder why.
