"they're in the wrong job surely !!!!"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

The midwives were rude and extremely patronising . They seemed to forget labpur isnt text bk n a woman knows her own body and so will do what her body tells her if she feels its safe . I had to tell one midwife several times to "get out of me" when she was giving me an internal as I was in so much pain . I should not have had to gt to the point where I had to shout it . I felt I was extremely judged . Im not sure if it was because of my appearance, relationship status or because I was nt conforming but they were horrible . Once id given birth I was left in the delivery suite in my own blood etc fr 6 hrs .no one informed me there was a bathroom with a bath even though id asked where one was . When someone fonally came to gt me she argued with my mum n was rude enough to call her "datling" in a very condescending manner . This was my last baby and I feel the experience was ruined by the lack of professionalism and empathy .

We were very sorry to learn that you had such a poor experience when delivering your baby in 2014.

Please be assured that we review all feedback left on NHS Choices and share it with the teams involved, so that they can use this as part of their regular reappraisal of services.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Kind regards, The PALS Team.
