I was booked in on Wednesday 19 November and was greeted and kept fully informed of overnight emergencies which delayed my admission to the ward. Once on the ward, I was impressed with the standard of care and tenderness I received from all the staff. I was visited by the Operating Team whilst being prepared for theatre, who fully explained their schedule, operating issues which may affect my procedure etc. Once in theatre the team made me comfortable, explaining every step of the procedure. Their good humour and care were impressive and I felt very cared for! Having a local anaesthetic for this procedure was a scary experience, but the team's professionalism and care made it an easy experience which I would recommend to anyone! Every step was explained and my state of comfort constantly checked. My return to ward was straightforward and my care from a very busy Nurse helped me to recuperate quickly and get home within 4 hours of being admitted to the ward! Exceptional tenderness, care and good humour were astounding, given the pressure of numbers of patients being cared for (everyone I chatted to felt the same about our care), keeping facilities maintained and running effectively were additional pressures which were impressively handled. I can't say thank you enough to such an amazing team of people. It was a humbling experience. Thank you again and again.
