"Respiratory palliative care"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

The care my elderly father has received so far in our journey with his illness has been excellent in all senses. Whilst we are seen on an out patient basis, the hospital team clearly interact well with the community teams who are helping provide care and support at home and our hospital experience has been very good from X-ray and other diagnostic tests through to our consultant appointments. The staff are always pleasant, helpful and understanding and my father is treated as an individual, with dignity and empathy. This is so Important to us all at this time. Thank you.

Dear Christine, This is such a lovely review, thank you. As a large organisation managing many hospitals and community services it is so important to us to get the care between hospital, community and home absolutely right. Everyone on the team will be really pleased to know how consistent your father’s care has been and that it has felt personal and responsive to his individual needs at every stage. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience us, I know just how much it it will mean when we pass it on. Please let us know if there’s anything you need as a family. With best wishes Annie
