"This is what excellent looks like"

I took a friend to the Day Case Clinic for women today (19/11/14) and cannot praise the service we received from every member of staff and volunteer we interacted with today highly enough. Staff were pleasant, efficient, and very helpful. We were booked in early (before 7.30 when the unit opens), we were seen promptly and my friend received her treatment within an hour of being admitted. We were on our way home within 2 hours of arriving. We were treated respectfully and with dignity and cheer. Nothing was too much trouble, whilst we were told it was a busy day for the team you would not have guessed that as everyone went about their duties calmly and professionally. We were brought coffee, tea and biscuits and in real crockery! I cannot praise the Consultant and his team highly enough for the way they all treated my friend and myself. It is clear that they all work together and as a team and thoroughly enjoy their work. Too many people are quick to knock the NHS, I hope this proves that there is a different side to the NHS. Well done, you should be very proud of what you are achieving.
