"Macular hole surgery"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

I recently had an operation for a macular hole in my left eye. I was extremely worried about this as I also have Parkinson's Diseae. I can honestly say that everybody that I dealt with during my original visits to the eye clinic and on the day of the operation have all been very kind friendly and efficient. The surgeon who carried out the operation, the aneathetist and general staff who looked after me on the day were all brilliant. I had the op two weeks ago and have been back to see the consultant and he is pleased with the progress. Thank you to the two clinics I attended, it was one of their team who did the operation and various others of their team who looked after me - thank you. Denise Hyde

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience at Maidstone Hospital. Your kind comments regarding the ophthalmology staff are much appreciated and will be passed onto the department concerned. With kind regards, the PALs team
