"Misdiagnosis and aftermath"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Ear, Nose and Throat North Yorkshire and Humber

(as the patient),

I woke up one morning about two years ago with a very sore throat after seeing my GP who started to treat me for acid reflux. After six months he sent me to see a specialist and he continued to give me the same treatment after having an endoscopic examination which saw nothing. The doctor I felt started to give me all these medications without the benefit of any of the normal tests such as bloods, biopsy etc After an eighteen month period suffering from the effects of the medication (which I felt as if had set my system back to my childhood ) when I felt deprived because of my diet. Visitations to attend the clinic where he gave me the same printout and a prescription for a drug that I'd been taken off six months previous. I have only just recently been investigating an alternative reason for my sore throat (in cooperation with my pharmacist) and have come to a real reason for my problem. This story is a small one compared to the whole sorry tale, I am at the moment writing the whole story down detail by detail.
