my daughter who is severly learning disabled and autistic had a temperature. we had reason to believe she had an urine infection. it is difficult to get her to attend surgeries and she would be unable to explain or describe hers symptoms. we were able to ring the surgery, explain to the receptionist and based on our discussion was able to organise treatment without the distress of taking our daughter to the surgery.
well done marfleet group practice and the learning disability team who delivered awareness training. special thanks to the recetion staff at Middlesex Annex
"good reasonable adjustment"
