I was dreading sitting about for most of the day at a day surgery clinic at Crawley Hospital. I arrived on time at 0830. I departed at 1030. On a Saturday. Stunning. I got to see England beat Australia. Almost as good!

The care, support, management of myself and my procedure was absolutely on the money. Quite possibly the best I have received and possibly experienced in my 62 years. All of the staff are worthy of mention.

A fine example of what can be achieved by not just the NHS but any organisation. Great culture and ethos which I really appreciated.

I am responsible for everything to do with facilities, estates and IT. This includes our £50m building programme, food, cleaning, estates, porters, telephones, IT, transport, car parks and anything similar. Also leading our new Patient Experience Programme.

Thank you for your kind post about your time in the day surgery clinic at Crawley Hospital. It was really good to read that you felt that the care and support of yourself and your procedure was some of the best you ever received from the NHS; this really is a great commendation for our colleagues at Crawley.

It is also good to read that you got home in time to watch England beat Australia; having lost to New Zealand and South Africa it was good to see England beat one of the Southern Hemisphere teams before next year's world cup. Hopefully some of the great culture and ethos you saw here will be evident next autumn.
