I am very pleased with the care I received during my stay on ward 8. I was well informed about what was happening and I was treated with dignity and respect at all times. It is a busy ward and their amazing staff are constantly on their feet throughout their shift. They communicate well between one another and will do event they can to ensure you have the best experience you can of whatever you have to go through. My only feedback is it was not obvious to me as the patient when I would be getting my medication, and I felt I was having to ask staff who were busy which led to me waiting too long and my pain escalating. Perhaps I as the patient, should have been more persistent with this- but I was expecting a drugs round like you get in other hospitals- so it wasn't obvious to me. I can honestly say I would recommend this unit to anyone who needs gynaecological surgery and that I cannot thank the staff enough for their excellent care
