"Took some time before I felt listened to"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

Initially I did not feel that my needs were being addressed. It seemed that the therapist had her own agenda with regards to my condition. It was several weeks before I felt that I was being listened to.

However, I seemed to be being treated for short panic attacks – the sort that are debilitating but for a short time. My panic attacks build up gradually and last for days, and I still don’t know what to do if/when this happens again!

Dear Handy978,

Thank you for sharing your experience of therapy. It sounds like this has been a mixed experience for you and that you don't yet feel fully able to deal with the panic attacks that you are experiencing. They sound very distressing when they occur and I would like to see if we can help you further with this.

Please do contact me on 0151 228 2300 in order that we can discuss if there is any further help we can provide.

Best wishes

Tracey
