In the past I have had reasons to write negative things about my stays on some of the 5 boroughs trusts wards, but as people (my self included) are quick to criticise I feel that if we have a positive we should be as quick to give compliments. I have just had a inpatient stay on Taylor ward In St Helen's and I must say it was the most productive stay I have had on any of the 5 boroughs trust wards, all the staff (qualified and nursing assistants ) gave me 5 star treatment and it showed how much they cared by the way they managed my illness.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, if they said they would do something for you they made sure that they did, they also kept I close watch on me as I was so unwell. My named nurse Laura made sure that all of my needs where met and Paul the nursing assistant notice that I was looking more unwell so he made this known to nurse Jeff who came strait to me to ask if there was anything staff could do to ease my distress which reassured me that I could approach any of the staff if I felt I needed to whether it was a qualified staff member or a nursing assistant. One doctor listened to me and the staff that know me best, thus allowing me to come home to do a trial to see if I can manage but if it turns out that I am unable to manage he has put the safety net that I can be readmitted back to the ward.
Again I would like to thank every staff member of Taylor ward I just wish there was a better way to show my appreciation to all the staff because they deserve more recognition, also it is my opinion that other wards should follow the lead of Taylor Ward because they are the prime example on how a mental heath ward should be in the 21st century, again thank you to all qualified staff and nursing assistants I just wish I could name them all one by one but this compliment is directed to every staff member including the cleaning staff.
"My compliments after recent stay on Taylor Ward in St Helen's "
