"Maternity experience"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I have to admit I was very apprehensive given this was our first baby and also having heard 100 stories from others of their experiences of the maternity services and labour ward. However, We had our little baby on Sunday 2nd November on the labour ward and I couldn't rate the services and experience higher if I tried, hence my keenness to write to express my gratitude. Our entire experience of maternity care has been excellent; the scans were incredibly thorough and informative; we utilised the assessment centre a few times throughout the pregnancy for various concerns and the staff were incredibly reassuring and supportive not to mention thorough in every way, nothing was too much trouble despite how busy they always were. The labour itself was a wonderful experience, albeit not entirely straight forward, this was purely a result of the care we received from the midwives who were excellent. It was of course daunting but at all times I felt in safe hands and didn't have to worry as no chances were ever taken for which I am entirely grateful. Having met three midwives throughout the labour it is clear what a special person it takes to be one, the midwife who delivered out little baby I couldn't have asked for a kinder more supportive person if I'd tried. The aftercare were equally wonderful supporting me throughout the night and helping me breast feed. With sincere thanks
