Have been attending Plymouth Eye infirmary for nearly 3 years now at regular 4 month intervals as advised by Consultant. I last attended June 2014, had the usual tests/photos at back of eyes - I have something called "split retinas" which must be re. examined every 4 months to check for any further changes - I always allow 3 months to elapse, then phone for appointment for the following month.
When I tried to phone for appointment for October, I was informed that I can no longer do this as they are now dealing with people on a "chronological" basis - due to "changes" whatever that may mean - I contacted PALS via email and they passed my message onto the Manager - regretfully I have heard no more from the Infirmary at all - I really do not know who to contact next about this situation - its very worrying when you have an eye condition like this and cannot get to see your Consultant regularly every 4 months.
I was under the care of Doctor Raman who has always tried to re-assure me about my condition but he always emphasised me to attend regularly to spot any changes in my eyes. Hoping you may be able to help in some way. Thankyou.
