I recently suffered a whirlwind of an experience which started with severe scistica very suddenly! After many trips to the GP and A&E over the space of a week I would just like to express my gratitude for being taken seriously! I was rushed for an MRI and was told that I was at risk of Cauda Equina Syndrome. Immediately I was taken for an MRI which showed a severely herniated L5/S1 disc and I was taken straight to surgery. My surgeon was spoken about very highly by the staff and people I know and I have to say, he was great. Very respectful, down to earth and he made me feel at ease in what was quite a scary experience for me. If I were to have one little niggle, it was that I felt quite left alone after my operation until my 8 week check up. But all in all, I would like to thank the spinal team at Ipswich and especially to my surgeon who have helped me!
"Othapaedic team/spinal team were great!"
