"Called from Overseas about my father"

Called from the US regarding my father who had been taken in to Queens from the care home he resides at. Nurse on duty wouldn't give me any information at all, even though I had given my dad's date of birth. She said she couldn't be sure I was the next of kin.....I asked who else would be calling at midnight about a 95 yr old man. The nurse was completely unhelpful and said I had to call back the next day to speak with a Dr. I hope one day she is in the situation I am and there is no one to help her.
