I was perfectly satisfied with the care given by the 111 service.

The doctor’s surgery was closed as it was the week end. I’m 87 and having lost my husband last year I live alone. On Saturday evening I was not feeling too well, I dozed off for a while and woke up feeling very dizzy. I took myself off to bed but on Sunday I was not feeling much better and decided to call 111 for advice.

The woman who took the call asked me a lot of questions and then passed me on to a doctor who took more details and said he would come out to see me. He arrived two and a half hours later and gave me a thorough check up, checking my blood pressure while I was standing and sitting, checked all the medication I was taking and only left when he was satisfied that I would be ok for the rest of the week-end. He sent a report to my GP so that he was aware of what had happened.

I was very satisfied.
