"Staff made my experience a lot easier for myself and family to deal with"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Clinical haematology

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

care was exemplery and staff went above and beyond their duties to make me feel safe, cared for and valued. I felt staff are undervalued and unappreciated. During my time in ward I was very ill, and scared but staff made my experience a lot easier for myself and family to deal with.

Dear Charge

I am sorry to hear how unwell you were and how scared you felt at the time however I am delighted that you found that the staff made you feel safe, cared for and valued above and beyond their duties. I will pass these comments on to the staff who will be pleased to know you valued their care.

Please let me reassure you that no one undervalues the staff and their efforts are very much appreciated and I will continue do my best to communicate this more effectively to staff to let them know how much we value the commitment they give to Wishaw General every day.
