I was a patient in Johnson Ward at Lincoln County Hospital for the best part of 5 days, during this worrying time for myself and family the stay was made so much easier because of the varying staff, and how the ward was run. From initially getting a bed until my discharge, the professionalism of the doctors, nursing staff and domestics was second to none. The caring attitude of everyone to myself and every other patient in the ward was clear to see 24/7. I even mentioned to a trainee nurse there from Lincoln University, that if she looked and learnt from the staff around her, she would become a fantastic nurse herself.
When I asked for information about my care/operation, it was given straightaway or passed onto me asap. The NHS is and always will be a fantastic institution, and the staff who cared for me in Johnson Ward are part of the reason why.
"The professionalism of the staff was second to none"
