Just got having had a replacement hip operation in Ward Seven, Wansbeck Hospital and cannot praise them enough. Everyone in that ward, the Surgeons, Nurses, Physios, auxiliary help and cleaners are so helpful, pleasant and kind and all are dedicated to their own particular role. Consummate professionals, every one of them. They made my stay a really happy experience and I cannot praise them enough. The food was lovely and plentiful - and they made an exceptional cup of tea. Having an operation can be an extremely daunting proposition, but these people soon put you at ease. I would highly recommend this Orthopaedic Ward. I had a hip replacement there last year and chose to go back to the same place this year. Surely that speaks for itself.

I am delighted that you have felt so thoroughly looked after and that you would describe your hospital stay with us as a really happy experience. That's exactly what we'd want for all our patients. The contribution of all members of the team and the part they each played in delivering high quality care was especially pleasing to read about. The team will feel rightly proud of it all, right down to their exceptional cups of tea !
