"Psychologist Waiting Times"

About: Peasley Cross Hospital

(as the patient),

I was assessed as Peasley Cross Hospital and put on the waiting list in July 2007. I phoned late 2008 and told to phone at end of January (i.e. at end of the 18 month 'accepted' wait). I was told that there are not enough staff, but they MAY be taking more on in a few months, so to call back then.

Depression, and the ongoing effects of depression, do not care about waiting times and reasons for them e.g. understaffing. Depression will just do what it does until it, or the reasons for it, are addressed.

I don't know what my options are, but I am considering a complaint, as I understood that I should have been seen before the 18 months. Can anybody advise?
