"Refereed to early pregnancy unit by GP (Horrible)"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

i am really shocked at the way the staff are at Bolton. i was refereed by my doctor as i had a positive pregnancy test and had light blooding and a little bit of discomfort to my right side. i went to the early pregnancy unit the next day for a ultrasound. They had me waiting over an hour with a full balder which started to hurt i asked a member of stuff a rough time as it was hurting and it was past my appointment time. There response was you are next not sure how long i said im going to have to go to the toilet is it ok to have some more water. They said yeah so i drank a whole jug of water after 15 minutes they come back in the waiting room and asked me to do a urine pregnancy test just after drinking all that water which was wired as they didn't believe me or my doctor that i was pregnant. After i did the test they took me in to the scan room and she was stalling basically waiting on the urine test to come back. she did a 2 minute abdominal scan and said i couldn't really see your ultras. Then my test come back as negative so she said you have probably had a miscarriage sorry and sent me on my way. No help no advice no nothing just rude and refused to do the internal ultrasound. i left that hospital feeling silly and alone and still no understanding like they had no feeling. I went back to my doctor and she then did another test and it said positive so i didn't want to come back to Bolton so i went to bury hospital. The staff there where amazing and was shocked at how the staff at Bolton acted as if i was just another number in the system. Bury did all the collect scans and bloods and found out i was indeed pregnant and it was ectopic growing in the wrong place. if i had listened to the early pregnancy staff at Bolton hospital thinking i was not pregnant anymore or never was i might not be here now!! I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I had excellent care and treatment from bury caught it early with the fast response .
