"Excellent care for foot surgery"

Last week I had an operation to my foot done by the Podiatric team at Scarsdale to correct a bunion and hammer toe. I have nothing but praise for Mr Finney, Mr Thurman and their team.

For the past ten months I have been in so much pain with my foot. I went down the conservative route with corrective footwear, insoles and injections and whilst these methods eased the pain I was still suffering. I didn't want to have surgery but the pain was limiting my activities in fact it was having a big impact on my life.

I know it isn't a week yet and have a way to go to see if the surgery has worked, I've got no bunion anyway which is a plus already and despite the surgery the pain in the hammer toe is not there. Fingers crossed. I was very anxious but reassured all the way. I've had no pain at all from the operation. The injections to numb the foot I can honestly say we're not painful, the popliteal nerve block was shall we say different but certainly not painful. That dam cuff was tight in theatre to stop the blood but Mark said it will get easier in a minute and it did. Wide awake chatted during the operation sewn up job done. Whole experience? Loads better than I imagined. Would I have it done again? Certainly. Fantastic team.
