Went in at 17.30 for an x-ray of a suspected fracture to my thumb following an injury, requested analgesic for the pain at reception
17.50 seen by a nurse for checking whether I needed to see a doctor, she didn't even look at my thumb
18.00 seen by doctor, who recommended me for x-ray though had to do two pregnancy tests which in total took about an hour for results to come back negative
19.00 got taken to xray department
19.10 got results back, though had to be reviewed by another senior doctor
19.30 had a nurse put on a thumb splint as they couldn't find the piece of bone missing from my thumb in the xray, told her i was allergic to the latex dressing she was about to put on me though she said as there wasn't anything written in the notes about it so she put it on regardless
19.40 left hospital and skin starts reacting to latex so had to take off dressing and use my own bandaging...all in all a waste of 2 hours and now i have a skin rash
