"Friday night in A and E"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

On Friday evening 31st October I did a very foolish thing and poured Olbas oil into my eye.First stop A and E. The staff in that department are second to none. One nurse washed my eye out for 30 minutes , followed by the sister who asked me to read the letters on the board, I couldn't. Then came the doctor, who did various tests and was very pleasant and reassuring, all in all an excellent experience of teamwork at its best. Would I recommend Preston A and E yes, without a second thought. The cornea of my eye has been saved and will return to normal, many thanks to all involved.
